Bat-eared Fox

bat-eared-foxThe Bat-Eared Fox enjoys the grasslands of the Savanna in eastern and southern Africa. Their enormous ears work well for hearing prey underground such as termites, spiders, small mammals, and reptiles. For crunching insects, they have up to 48 sharp, pointed teeth (more than any other canine species). Farmers like having them on their property because they consume huge amounts of termites.
