Rhino Snake

snake-green-1The Rhinoceros Rat Snake makes its home in the rainforests of northern Vietnam and southern China. I’ll let you surmise how it got its name. It’s favorite foods are small rodents and birds. Generally, they are calm and rarely strike or bite anything but their prey. They are nonvenomous. Young ones are brown, turning gray and then green around age 2. They can grow up to 3-feet long.
