1920s Gas Station

Look at this 1920s gasoline station in Lathrop, Missouri. I wonder how bumpy a ride would be in a car like that? How much did people pay for gasoline back then? My research shows that it cost between 20 and 30 cents a gallon. That sounds grand until you factor in inflation. In today’s economy, it would cost between $2.30 and $3.00 a gallon.
